So good July 16th, 2004 Reviewer: Eric from Texas This band has so much talent and SUCH a variety of music. They can switch the turntable on, drop a sweet beat and jam, or sing the most incredible praise and worship music ever. Best CD March 8th, 2005 Reviewer: Anonymous This CD is my personal favorite from this great band. The mix of slow songs and upbeat praise songs is great. "Obsession" is a must. The band combines a little of everything to create the perfect worship session ever! They use turntables, an electric violin, and the normal stuff like electric guitars, acoustic guitars, drums, keys, bass, and great vocals and poetic lyrics that put you in a trance! Crowder has an AWESOME voice with a unique sound and his passion for Christ is so contagious and powerful that it is engaging to all audiences. Not to mention, who couldn't love a guy with huge spikey hair, a massive gotee, and black rimmed glasses? Its just COOL! So go out and buy this cd if u haven't because it is so worth your money! Was this review helpful to you? Perfect For Worshiping July 23rd, 2004 Reviewer: Randy from Orlando, FL "Illuminate" is one of the most artistic modern worship releases to date. It combines intricate guitar work with great percussion and lyrics. Plus David Crowders signature voice is unmistakeable. It's full of sing along at the top of your lungs choruses. September 2nd, 2004 Reviewer: Leah from Malta This album just makes me wanna dance and sing for my Lord! It's a cd full of enthusiasm and sparks, as David Crowder names his first intro song: "sparks fly"! Beautiful lyrics that give thanks and praise to God. Hearing this cd will make you see some wonderful scenes in your head. I saw alot of nature ones, esp. in track 5:"open skies", and Heavenly images in track 3: "O praise Him". I just absolutely love track 8: "no one like you", cuz there simply is no one like Our God! This cd has some great acoustic sounds from songwriter, Crowder himself. It also has some real good effects and bass playing and drum beating sound awesome as they join together in worshippy tunes. A great mix of sounds and lots of colors put together to produce an amazing david crowder band cd like this. It's got so much to give out, and just so much to receive too! I had no idea who they were until I saw them on the main stage at Cornerstone Festival, Bushnell. Nothing I heard lost my interest and I found myself with my hands in the air in total worship of my God. This is a great worship band. Simple, yet strong lyrics spoken straight from the heart. There is not one song on this CD that I do not like - each have powerful lyrics, and amazing music. My favorite songs are "Open Skies", "Deliver Me", "How Great" and more.
