Great Message! August 24th, 2005

This book was even better than the first! The story line concerning the Alzheimer’s patients was thought provoking and sweet. The story as a whole did an excellent job of conveying the spiritual journey that all Christians go on and how our walks with God have peaks and valleys. Remember showed glimpses of all of the Baxter children’s spiritual walks. Another powerful point made in the book was the difference between being religious and being Christ-like. At the beginning of the book and in the last book, Luke’s judgmental and hateful attitude towards Ashley wasn’t very Christian. At first I was annoyed that September 11th was brought up in yet another book, however the authors did a good job of working it into the story and making it relevant to the character’s lives without making it the central theme of the book.

wow this is another book by an author i hadn't read before. But Karen Kingsbury is sooo good, it's a story about a woman who's going through depression but didn't think Christians could ever be depressed. She learns how to get through the tough situations in her life mostly by just telling the truth and stop keeping secrets. When Joy Came to Stay is a truly remarkable book.

This has been one of the best books I've read in along time! It made me realise again how important family is and how much time we waste on insignificant differences and unresolved issues and also because of a lack of communication. Karen Kingsbury is truly an expert in writing and her books teaches a lot about relationships.

As a first book in a series, this one got me hooked on the series. Well written, thought provoking. Especially refreshing in today's societal practice of disposable marriages. Good insight on family interactions and especially on the idea of learning to walk with God, listen to Him and obey His principals in daily life so that you are ready to listen to Him when you need His grace to do impossible things. Even a month of so after reading the book, I still think of approaching relationships and situations with the idea of making a love decision in spite of my emotions at the time!

I really like this book. Karen did a great job with the story line and just how much of the bible is reflected in the book. Great gift for non-christian friends. Grab it today...you may just be so involved in the book that you won't put it down.

This book really shows the hand of God at work in every day lives and where faith comes into play. This book is a great ministry tool. This book is a memorial for all the families directly involved in September 11th. It is a reminder of what our country went thru. I loved this book and highly recommend it. Just be sure to get a box of kleenex with it.

By the time you get to this book, you are already a part of the Baxter family. The authors have done a good job in keeping the momentum of the series going (and I look forward to developing the relationships introduced in the end of this book). Laced through the story is still the theme of making a decision to love. Very emotionally charged. The story pulls you in to feel the gamut of emotions--laugh and cry, grieve and rejoice. Real people, in real situations, who can turn to God for help when the world seems to spin out of control.

This book really shows Jeremiah 29:11 (For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.) . I loved this book because it opens your eyes to see that even when you think there is no where or no one else for you, God is always there and will always help you thru that time, give you hope and has a future for you.
