OUTSTANDING READ November 5th, 2004

I must say that out of the martyr's song series this was by far the best. The writing just seemed to flow straight from the beginning. I loved the intensity of the story, when I first picked it up I thought I would just read a couple of chapters, but once I started I was halfway into the book before I knew it. I couldn't put it down. I finished it in roughly 2 days only reading it at bedtime. I encourage anyone who enjoys a suspensful cliffhanger to read all three of the books. Just don't make the mistake I did, read them in order starting with When Heaven Weeps. You are guaranteed to get a blessing out of each and every book. I just hope there will be more to the story.

Thr3e was absolutely the most riveting book I have ever read. The plot kept me guessing the whole way through, and I was blown away when it was all revealed at the end.

What can I Say? July 28th, 2004

I could not but this book down. I found out about it on the back of teen Bible I had bought and decided to check it out. The bad thing was as soon as I had read the first paragraph I could not make myself put the book down. Ted Dekker's amazing storytelling techniques takes you to two whole new worlds and craftly is re-telling the stories of the Old Testament in a whole new way to help others understand God's grace. One thing I can say is I can't wait for Red!

This book is addicting. It's fast-paced and extremely hard to put down. Buy all three at once, because once you finish "Black", it's torture having to wait for the next one!

I think I have almost every book that Ted has written & when I recently purchased this one I was NOT disappointed. If you've read any of his books and loved them, you HAVE to get this one! If you haven't read any of his books - I recommend them all. I was able to keep myself from reading this all in one sitting (which was really hard) because I wanted to save most of it to read on a recent vacation. Well, I finished the rest of it on the plane. I was so enthralled with it!

I must say that I am growing extremely fond of Ted Dekkers work. I loved the first book and this one was no exception. The twists will throw you for a lope literally gasping and yelling NO. My heart was wrenched at several time and my faith renewed. Helen is wonderful in this story and her "walk with god" is amazing. If we all just had half of her faith the world would be a better place. This book leaves you with the message that no one and I mean NO ONE is ever a lost cause as long as there is breath in their lungs. God is good and I think we need to stop a remember that a little more often. He is most definately...... THE LOVER OF MY SOUL.

Sometimes when a sequel comes around you can get a little worried that it won't live up to your expectations after reading the first one. But Dekker didn't not dissapoint in the least. Increasing the fast paced story line and introducing whole new challenges makes this book stand out from it predecessor. The story starts fast and literally never stops the pace. Once agian he has left us with a awful cliffhanger that makes me want to finish these stories even more. Dekker has taken the gospels and wrapped them up into this fantastic world and makes you realize God's love and grace even more. A strong +5 out 5

Thriller November 27th, 2004

I absolutely loved this Ted Dekker novel. I find Dekker to be a fascinating author, with always a new plot and more ideas for twists than any other writer I've read.
Three is a very fast-paced novel with a tight story line and many interesting characters and events. It's not gory, but it does contain some *slightly* disturbing content as far as violence goes. But this is not to discourage anyone, I loved the book.
The major and minor twists and plot changes throughout the book were not anticipated at all and made for a great reading, in just a few days! And all through the twists the book remains true to word - no inconsistencies.
I'm waiting to forget a little of the thrilling parts before I read it again...and again...and again.
