Above Pillar - Above July 15th 2004 by Anonymous in USA
From Flickerrecords.com comes Pillar's debut album entitled Above. Pillar has a unique musical style all their own. Their musical style is a combination of rap, hard-core, metal, and even some influences of reggae. Pillar's dedication to sharing the gospel to young people around the world shows with their straight-forward, in-your-face lyrics.
The album starts out with an intro that flows into "Live For Him", a song about being on the road, engaged in warfare for souls, and sharing Christ with others everywhere they go. "All Day Everyday" is the "heaviest" song on the album. A hard-core, metal song with screaming and all! The title track, "Above", is about praising God. The song is about how God is everything in their lives. "Everything to my God above, He's my one and only true love."
"Galactic Groove", an Old Skool-style rap, features Knowdaverbs rapping/telling a story about "living the rap life," full of futuristic puns. The song shows the life of a rapper today, and one in 2003. It also shows that through time, Christ was, is, and always will be in control of the Universe. The album concludes with the only soft song on the album, entitled "Father". Lead singer, Rob Beckley's smooth vocals tell about how God is their everything and how He will take them home, to Heaven, one day.
Pillar truly has the talent to do almost anything musically, vocally, and lyrically - and they take advantage of it all. There is something for everyone on this album.

Where Do We Go from Here Awesome Band, Above Par Music! July 15th 2004 by in Boonville, IN
This is an awesome title for any fan of Christian Rock. But for any of you that have been listening to Pillar along the way, you know that their lyrics just don't back down. Well, I'll have to say that on this album you have to know that they are Christian to know that they're singing about Jesus. I think this can be used to reach out to non-believers, but I still have to say that I miss Christ's name and the "Proud-Of-Our-Faith" Pillar from the albums "Above" and "Fireproof".
This is an awesome CD, with awesome music, lyrics and message - but I would just have to say that it seems the band lightened up on the lyrics a bit. I would say, however, that it is a wonderful CD for people of any age!

Fireproof Re-Release DOESN July 15th 2004 by in Boonville, IN
You start off with Fireproof, questionably the best Christian Rock song of the decade and go through 11 AMAZING tracks until you end up with a remixed version of Fireproof. It's a musical and lyrical rollercoaster that you will listen to OVER AND OVER again until you think you will wear it out.... but you won't!
Pillar combines awesome heavy guitar riffs, cool beats, and wonderful lyrics all surrounding faith in Jesus Christ. They do an awesome job of contronting the listener on things such as integrity in Christ (Behind Closed Doors, Just To Get By), fighting a battle for souls (Echelon), Pride in Christ (A Shame), Unity of the USA under God (Indivisible), and much, much more.
Then you have Fireproof. This is a masterpiece that will stand the test of time! One can tell it talks about the story of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednigo (sp?) where God saved them from Nebuchadnezzar's blazing furnace.... paralleling with our salvation in Christ from anything this life (or our afterlife without Christ) could throw at us.....
If you like rock music, please check out this record! You'll be so glad you did!

Where Do We Go from Here Great CD July 16th 2004 by Christi in California
Pillars CD Fireproof was an awesome CD, But I have to say that Where Do We Go From Here tops it. There was a mixes of so many different styles.
Rewind made me cry and Let it Out got my bottled up emotions out. It's realy inspiring and I just love the lyrics.

Where Do We Go from Here Where Do We Go From Here July 16th 2004 by Matthew in USA
I found this a great cd. With its hard-rock music and solid lyrics, this is a cd that I think any lover of rock would want to add to their collection. Pillar sold 19000 copies in the first week of this cd. If you like bands such as Linkin Park, or P.O.D., Pillar is a great band for you. With song lyrics that really do pertain to some real-life things that I could actually relate to, I can't stop listening to this cd. Even though somebody might not like rock, if you show them the lyrics to Pillar, they would probably most likely agree that they are Christ-based. I hope you have found this review useful.

Where Do We Go from Here Better than Fireproof July 16th 2004 by in McConnells, SC
As much as I loved Fireproof, Where Do We Go From Here has definitly topped it. The songs have so much more meaning and are sung from the heart. Rewind is something most Christians can relate to. And Frontline makes you want to be more active in the everyday battles of getting God's work done. But there isn't a single song on the CD that I don't love.

Where Do We Go from Here Keith July 16th 2004 by Keith in Bridgeton NJ
Pillar is the First Christian Rock Group I ever got into. Their sound is like none other, and their new CD Where Do We Go From Here Is amazing. After Fire Proof I wasn't sure if Pillar could get better, but they did. The only thing bad you can say about this CD is that there are only 11 songs.
As a quote from me. "This is the best Cd ever."

Fireproof Re-Release WOW July 16th 2004 by Phillip in San Antonio
While I don't usually go looking for hard rock cds I had heard that this was a great disk. To my delight, it was better than great, it was AWSOME!!! Pillar has come on the scene and brought a great hard rock sound with great guitar, and added lyrics that you can not only understand, but you can also track them back to the Bible and the message that they are trying to get across. This is definatly one of, if not the best hard rock album that has come out in a very long time.

Where Do We Go from Here Pure Rock that Blesses You July 16th 2004 by Anonymous in Philly
Pillar has finally grown away from the rap and dove straight into Rock. Their lyrics have also matured immensely! It's obvious that their hearts are in the right.

Above great rock band July 17th 2004 by Anonymous in
This cd offers alot to the listener although it's nothing new. Their standard rap lyrical/rock musical approach to music definitely opens your ears but at the same time doesn't completely satisfy your need for something creative. However, for lovers of the standard rap/rock, this album will rock your face off.

Above PILLAR July 19th 2004 by in Boonville, IN
Pillar combines an AWESOME message with a never-backing-down faith in their lyrics, with awesome guitar riffs and beats to form a wonderful 14 track compliation that any rap/rock fan would love.
Pillar does a lot of rock where the lead singer raps his songs - it sounds similar, but not the same to, P.O.D. They have several songs that are just straight Rock, however, so you get a good mix.
Most importantly the message and teaching Pillar gives you on this album is exceptional. The message they spread with the awesome music they play on this album is phenomenal. If you even are remotely interested in this genre, check this CD out. It's very good!
Highlights: Above, Live For Him, Original Superman, You Should Know, Unity, Open Up Your Eyes

Fireproof Re-Release SPECTACULAR July 20th 2004 by David in Montgomery, IL
I was amazed at this CD from the moment I got the original CD (which came out in 2002 on Flicker Records) before these guys signed a big record deal. When MCA Records (now Geffen) signed these guys in early 2003, they were so confident in this release, that they just remixed and re-mastered all of the songs and repackaged them in a different form. The remixed versions sound even better (you can definitely see the difference on "Echelon" and "Just to Get By"). The DVD is a great addition to this CD, although the concert clips don't capture their amazing live show. These guys put on an awesome show – trust me.
Furthermore, the entire CD is strong and every one of these tracks will blow you away. They have everything from hip hop ("Stay Up,") to in your face hard rock with some screaming ("Hindsight" & "Indivisible,") to a softer ballad, ("Further From Myself") while the rest of the album rocks pretty hard. However, while this is hard rock, it is rap/rock as well, as the lead singer, Rob, raps most of the verses and sings most of the choruses. My favorite songs are "Indivisible," "A Shame," "Fireproof," "Just to Get By," "Echelon," "Hindsight," and "Further From Myself." If I have to pick one favorite, I'll go with "A Shame." The whole album is solid though. There is not a single song that I don't like. Trust me, if you get this CD, you will not only love it, you will not skip a single track. The title track, as well as "A Shame, "Echelon" and "Indivisible" all went to #1 on Christian rock radio, for good reason. "Further From Myself was also another big Christian rock and Contemporary Christian hit when they released their acoustic version on "Broken Down: The EP."
Just buy the CD already. You know you're gonna like it. Fireproof was my favorite CD of all time until Pillar released “Where Do We Go From Here.” Now it is #2. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with Pillar. I especially like the lyrics to “Indivisible,” where Rob raps “Stop complaining move along / Open your eyes and see what's going on / We need to get back to the ways of the days of old / One nation under God indivisible.” After that Pillar starts yelling “In God We Trust,” which is “the motto of this greatest nation.” Pillar is an amazing Christian hard rock band. If you like rock music, and you haven't listened to these guys, you are missing out. Be sure to check out "Where Do We Go From Here" in addition to this CD.

Where Do We Go from Here Another Excellent Album! July 28th 2004 by in Ohio
The Guys from Pillar have done it again, putting together another excellent sounding, soul-vibrating, answer-searching and God-praising rapcore album. As great as Fireproof was, this 12-song collection has topped it, and it's clear that these guys keep improving in their sound and lyrics from album to album. The project gets off to a great start with the track "Hypnotized", which generally states the purpose and philosophy behind the whole album.
"Where do we go from here? How did it disappear? It's hard to see with our own eyes These times (these lies)
We've been hypnotized I think it's time we try to open up our eyes
Look away from the very thing that's made us cry". Each song afterwards builds upon that idea with great sounding rock melodies and intensely thought-provoking lyrics. It is never a mystery at any point in this album who Pillar serves, what they believe in and how dedicated they are to Christ. This is not another "Fireproof", nor is it conformity junk that the record company is trying to sell to "spiritual kids" - Where do we go from Here - is one of Christian Rock's best albums of the year (maybe ever) and a must have for extreme music fans!!

Fireproof Re-Release Great! July 28th 2004 by Anonymous in Indiana
I love this CD. I was just getting into Christian music when I heard "Fireproof". I loved it. It rocked hard but without the bad lyrics of secular offerings. I also love how some of the songs have a little rap leaning, especially with "Stay Up" featuring KJ-52. His rapping perfectly compliments Pillar's rock. You can't go wrong with this CD.

Broken Down: The EP Must-Have for Pillar fans July 28th 2004 by Anonymous in Indiana
If you're a Pillar fan, you'll love this CD. Their songs are still powerful, even when played accoustically. I like the violin on "further from myself". You can hear the emotion in Rob (lead singer's) voice. I prefer their normal songs but these are a great addition!

Where Do We Go from Here Must-Have! July 28th 2004 by Anonymous in Indiana
As much as I loved Fireproof, Where Do We Go From Here blows it out of the water. They have a new drummer and have really concentrated on the rock (less rap elements than Fireproof). All the songs rock hard. I love "Rewind", because it's such a passionate song. You can hear the sadness in his voice. It almost brings me to tears. "Frontline" may very well be my favorite song on the CD. It's the kind of song you just want to sing out loud and really rock to. I would recommend this CD to anyone!

Where Do We Go from Here Pillar~!! July 28th 2004 by Anonymous in USA
Pillar’s third release, Where Do We Go from Here?, is by far, their most melodic record yet. You could sense it a bit on Fireproof, but it is in full force this time around. So much more emotion was poured into this release. At times, it almost seems louder and more aggressive than Fireproof, and it probably is. However, the melodic overlay of the entire record keeps it from seeming hardcore in any sense. Comparisons to other rock/rap bands will still be inevitable, but Pillar’s trademark sound should be enough to silence opposition.
Of course, Pillar’s third release, Where Do We Go from Here?, is not referring to where they should take their musical direction next. Rather, it speaks of the state of the American church. Pillar has always been very bold lyrically, never straying from in-your-face lyrics that demand change for the better. Expect no different here. From beginning to end, Where Do We Go from Here? goes far and beyond most Christian rock acts' attempts (or lack thereof) in the lyrical department. "Let It Out" and "Frontline" (reminiscent lyrically of "Echelon") demand we as Christians take a stand for Christ, while "Simply" lets listeners know that God "Simply [loves], despite all the stupid things I’ve done. It’s hard to remember that You simply love, even though I know not what I’ve done. It’s hard to remember that You simply love." "Bring Me Down", the Chris Lord-Alge Mix, and "Holding On" go out to Christians who need encouragement in their faith. But really, that is what this entire release is about. It’s 12 tracks of encouragement to Christians, encouragement to live for Christ and to get out on the frontlines and live out our faith.
This CD has a little bit of everything. They even slow it down on the beautiful "Rewind", a song about regretting past mistakes. Fans of Pillar should not be disappointed with their latest outing. Those who never really liked Pillar might want to give them another listen. You may not be converted, but Where Do We Go from Here?, the third in what has been a stellar career for Pillar, is definitely worth a listen.

Where Do We Go from Here It grew on me July 29th 2004 by Tim Bradshaw in NC
I pre-ordered the cd in anticipation and at first I didn't quite like it as good as fireproof or their first one, Above. But after the second time I listened through it I love it. It's one of my more favorite cds. It's one that is soundly similar but at times a little more aggressive.

Where Do We Go from Here Refined and Real July 29th 2004 by Clayton in Sandwich, IL
This is the one Pillar cd that I won't ever get sick of. It's like a highly refined Fireproof. Same type songs but a much better composition and MUCH more impactful lyrics. I liked Fireproof but the messages in Where Do We Go From Here are so much more clear and meaningful.

Where Do We Go from Here Pillar Rocks With High Energy! August 3rd 2004 by Travis in Virginia
If you are only going to buy 10 CD's this year, "Where Do We Go From Here" is a must! High energy rock that both challenges the believer in Christ and encourages them to make these songs part of their soundtrack for life!
This CD has it all -- I listen to it while I am working out, and the high-octane sound pumps the adrenaline. Once you listen to "Bring Me Down", "Frontline", "Underneath It All", "Dirty Little Secret" and "Aftershock", there can be no doubt that they are without equal in hard-driving, high-quality rock and roll. "Rewind" is an instant classic, and there isn't a throw-away on this whole CD.
Pillar's new sound is simply amazing, and the music, along with the very stylish CD cover and booklet make it one of THE best CD's to hit the market in some time. This one won't get old -- enjoy a real treat and give this CD a spin!

Where Do We Go from Here Another Outstanding Album August 4th 2004 by Anonymous in Arizona
Like Pillar's "Fireproof" album, "Where Do We Go From Here" mixes hard rock rythms with hip-hop lyrics. Every song has a message and meaning that I find myself able to relate to everyday. The "Bring Me Down" single has also become quite popular on the radio, Christian and secular, and I can hear it almost everyday. If you are a fan of other musical groups like Linkin Park or p.o.d. whom also mix rock and rap genres then this album is for you!

Broken Down: The EP Pillar, A Worship Album? Your Darn Right! August 6th 2004 by in Las Vegas
I love Pillar's music for the hard core style they bring to the table. So when they released an "unplugged" worship style EP, I wasn't sure if they could pull it off. Man was I wrong! This album brings their songs to an intimate level that anybody who loves worshiping our Lord can get on their knees and praise God to. Get it, it's a must have!

Where Do We Go from Here Rocking the mainstream August 6th 2004 by Jeremy in Oroville, CA
I've been a fan and street team member of Pillar since 'Above' came out, and this is their best album ever. 'Fireproof' was an instant favorite, but this album, 'Where Do We Go From Here', breaks all records and boundries previously set in their career. Not only did the talents of Rob(Vocals), Kalel(Bass), and Noah(Guitars) increase dramatically since their last album, but the addition of Lester Estelle on the drums brought them to a whole other level musically. Since the re-release of Fireproof on MCA and then on Geffen Records, Pillar has been breaking and setting records in both the Christian rock circles, and the mainstream. Now with the release of 'Where Do We Go From Here', they are much better equipped to tackle the mainstream rock radio and music video stations. Just recently Pillar's phenomenal video for 'Bring Me Down' was voted #1 on FUSE TV's Oven Fresh program, beating out staple rock bands like Thursday and Yellowcard. This album promises great things for this band. This album will rock your face off!

Fireproof Re-Release the reason 4 goin into the secular market August 9th 2004 by J.R. in Ft Worth
After gettin a dove award in 2001 for "best rock album of the yr", pillar came even harder w/ their new album featurin their record-breakin single "fireproof" which stayed at #1 longer than POD!! Also this cd was the reason I joined the underground army (pillars street team), & the song is how they got the interest of some major secular record label. My fav song on the cd is indivisible, talkin bout how an atheist man went 2 the supreme court 2 fight against havin the words "one nation under God" bein kept in the pledge of allegiance. & if u have or get the album, read the last line; ull c why I love that song the most
|
 |
Fireproof Re-Release this is the big 1!!! August 9th 2004 by J.R. in Ft Worth
w/ the band bein signed 2 MCA, Pillar became an internationally known rock band along the likes of saliva, metallica, limp bizkit, etc. & also w/ bein signed came a very improved sound. if u listen 2 their original fireproof album (under flicker records), u can tell that it's hard at the beginnin of the fireproof single what they r tryin 2 say, but when it was remixed under MCA, it was very easy 2 tell what they were sayin which is why im glad they signed onto a major mainstream label cause whenever the album came out, I went 2 bestbuy 2 get it & talked w/ a few employees who said they thought it was an awesome cd

Broken Down: The EP Broken Down August 9th 2004 by Anonymous in USA
This is a great cd for those people out there who enjoy Pillar's solid lyrics, but also enjoy a little bit of the acoustic sound along with it. Pillar has a great way of tuning things down, but still making those songs powerful. Along with this cd you get a bonus track (no this is not accoustic) called Bring Me Down. This is a hard-rocking song, and probably one of my favorite songs yet. This song is now topping national hard-rock radio charts, and on stations such as Fuse, MTV, and many others! A great cd!

Where Do We Go from Here Where Do We Go From Here August 15th 2004 by Cody in NC, USA
This cd is so awesome. I was one of the many people that were wondering how they were going to out do their earlier album Fireproof.
But when I heard this cd I knew that they had done it. It's the best... you get the rock feel while keeping the Christian perspective. It's the cd to have if you're a Pillar fan. And if you're not, you gotta try it out. You'll love it. And after this cd I'm not even sure where Pillar will go from here.

Where Do We Go from Here Originality August 26th 2004 by Anonymous in Canada
For a rock band, they are very good. I am personally not a rock fan, but their originality struck me. I mean they are able to make the music sound in a way it never sounded before. "Where Do We Go From Here", the first track, is just great! And all the others are full of little surprises. Enjoy!

Where Do We Go from Here Incredible August 29th 2004 by David in IL
Throw out the rap from Pillar's 2 earlier releases, throw in some amazing vocal melodies, add some great bass lines, stunning guitar work and incredible drumming and you get the best Christian rock album of the year so far. If you are a rock fan and you don't own this CD, get it as soon as you can because you will not regret it. It will be the best money you've spent on entertainment all year. Although it is very hard to pick favorites on this CD, my favorites are probably "Simply," "Rewind," "Let It Out," "Aftershock," "Underneath It All," "Bring Me Down," "Frontline," & "Hypnotized" (with "Let It Out" being my favorite of them all). Yes, I know that I just named two-thirds of the CD right there, but the CD is just that good. Just stop reading this and buy the CD already!

Broken Down: The EP Amazing Acoustic Stuff August 29th 2004 by David in IL
Pillar really showcases their talent in this CD. With four cuts live and unplugged, one rock song, an added accoustic studio version of "Further From Myself," and enhanced DVD features (including the video for "Further From Myself") these guys absolutely shine. The passion and intimacy of these songs really come out when Pillar breaks them down into an accoustic form. For instance, the great rock song "A Shame" sounds fantastic when they break it down and do it without all of the crunching guitars. The passion in Rob's voice bring chills to my body when he sings, "Don't be afraid to take a stand. / It's a shame to be ashamed - to be ashamed of the One that we should glorify. / You are afraid of the price you'll pay. / Will you be strong or walk away? / You're reasons are runnin' thin. / All that's left to do is give in. / Inside this generation of sin, there's only one place to begin. / And it's at the starting line or you will be left behind. / You say it's hard to believe in something you can't see. / A choice you make today will affect you eternally." The vocals and the lyrics really stand out throughout this whole EP. Rob has an excellent voice. This really shows in "Light at My Feet," which is based off of the bible verse that says "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Rob says on an enhanced feature on this CD that he tried to bring that theme "to a new generation in a new way." Another way that you can tell how good these guys perform live is that the live version of "Further From Myself" is just as strong as the accoustic studio version of it (the studio version was the single). This song is a great ballad which is based on James 4:8, which says "Draw near to the Lord and he will draw near to you." With so much emotion, Rob sings to God, our maker and creator, "I'm further, further from myself / When I'm next to You / When I run to You / ...With You inside my heart You...have erased [my] selfishness and foolish pride. / And I admit that when I submit to, You I can see all of the selfish things I do." Fireproof, the hit rock single, is the last acoustic song that they do unplugged. This one is another great rock song that sounds really well in accoustic form. If all of this is not enough, the band saves the best for last. A new hard rock song done in the studio called "Bring Me Down" closes out this EP. A remixed version of this song (the one on the new album, "Where Do We Go From Here," which hit stores June 15th 2004) dominated Christian rock radio for many weeks and is doing very well on mainstream rock radio as I am writing this. Let me tell you, if you like rock music, this EP is worth the money for this song alone. "Bring Me Down" is incredible. It has everything Pillar is known for as a rock band. Along with the video for the hit single, "Further From Myself," the enhanced features include a great photo gallery of the band, and song explanations by Rob. So, overall, this is a great EP, especially for the low price.

Fireproof Re-Release SPECTACULAR August 29th 2004 by David in IL
I was amazed at this CD from the moment I got it (before these guys signed a big record deal and re-released it with MCA/Geffen Records). They were so confident in this 2002 release, that they just remixed and re-mastered all of the songs and repackaged them in a different form. The remixed versions sound even better (you can definitely see the difference on "Echelon" and "Just to Get By"). The DVD is a great addition to re-release. Even though this original CD is strong and every one of these tracks will still blow you away, just buy the re-release.
Furthermore, the variety of "Fireproof" is pretty impressive.
I can pretty much guarantee that you will like "Fireproof" if you like rock music. After all, "Fireproof" was my favorite CD of all time until Pillar released “Where Do We Go From Here.” Now it is #2. And remember, while this version of "Fireproof" is still very good, I would suggest buying the 2003 re-release over this one.

Where Do We Go from Here This cd rocks my socks off! September 5th 2004 by Spencer in Oroville, CA
From beginning to end, this cd is amazing. Pillar cast off the image of being rap-rockers, and went towards the more pure rock sound. I also noticed that their drummer went towards a more punk-rock style of drumming on this cd. The best three tracks are Hypnotized, Simply, and One Thing. That's just my opinion, but that's not the point; this cd rocks, buy it. NOW

Fireproof Re-Release Pillar just keeps on rockin September 5th 2004 by Spencer in Oroville, CA
This is a great cd. It was one of the first cd's that really got me into Christian rock. I really didn't expect it to be this great. They have perfected the form of rock that we call "rap-rock". Two great tracks are "Fireproof", and "Echelon". Those are awesome, but when listening to this cd, you can't just listen to those two songs, you have to listen to the whole thing. From end to end. Good cd. You can listen to it for hours without getting bored. Every time I listen to it, I am surprised. Good cd, go out and buy it, or just click the buy button on your computer!

Where Do We Go from Here awesome cd September 8th 2004 by Anonymous in Burlington, NC
Where Do We Go From Here showcases Pillar's hard-hitting guitars and drums as well as Fireproof did. They also slide in a little bit of hip-hop in Frontline, but throughout they remain similar to the Fireproof album: hard rock that praises God. For any hard rock fan, this is a excellent choice. Every song is worth listening to.

Where Do We Go from Here The Real Deal September 14th 2004 by Michael in CT
Pillar knows how to rock. They can bring it hard and in your face but with the grace of God right in the midst of it. I have had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with them as well and know that they are not just singing lyrics. These guys live and believe what they sing. They are the real deal.
It seems each album gets better and better. These guys are now heading up tours all over the country and festivals as well. Buy the album. Then buy the rest of them. You won't be sorry.

Where Do We Go from Here Great September 16th 2004 by in Mississippi
Songs like "Rewind," and "Let It Out," really take Pillar far from the rap/rock genre. In fact, compared to their last cd, "Fireproof," this album is much different. From the first song, you can tell it is a much different ride than before. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING. I enjoyed this cd a lot, and I'm so glad Pillar has taken their lyrics, vocals, and talent to the next level! GO PILLAR!

Where Do We Go from Here BEAUTIFUL(tears flow)!!!!!!! September 17th 2004 by Anonymous in FROM WISCONSIN
FIRST OF ALL, PILLAR IS THE BEST BAND OF ALL TIME! SECOND, PILLAR'S NEWEST CD, "WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE" IS AWESOME! I LOVE IT. I'M A HUGE PILLAR FAN AND WHEN "FIREPROOF" CAME OUT I BOUGHT IT THE FIRST DAY I COULD, THEN WHEN IT WAS RERELEASED, I AGAIN BOUGHT IT THE FIRST DAY I COULD. BUT THEY HAVE OUTDONE THEMSELVES THIS TIME. THIS CD IS AWESOME. THE BAND IS STARTING TO MAKE THEIR WAY UP WITH APPEARANCES COMING UP ON MTV'S HEADBANGER'S BALL AND HAVING ONE OF THE TOP VIDEOS ON FUSE TV, BEATING OUT BANDS LIKE METALLICA! I WENT TO A CONCERT IN MINNEAPOLIS AT CLUB 3 DEGREES IN THE LAST YEAR AND THEY GAVE US A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK AT A FEW SONGS ON THIS ALBUM. IT WAS THEN THAT I BECAME EXCITED. IF YOU DON'T ALREADY OWN THIS CD, BUY IT, IT'S ONE OF THE BEST CDS OF THE YEAR, IF NOT THE BEST! HEY, ONE LAST THING. THIS WEBSITE IS PRETTY SWEET. I JUST FOUND IT TODAY AND LIKE BEING ABLE TO READ THE REVIEWS ON GROUPS AND LOVE HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL SOMEONE HOW AWESOME PILLAR IS!!!!

Broken Down: The EP Surprise October 2nd 2004 by Anonymous in Minnesota
Pillar just didn't strike me as one who could pull off acoustic, man was I wrong! This brings their music to such an intimate level and really reflects God and his love. It is a must have for an intense worship time.

Fireproof Re-Release Awesome! October 6th 2004 by Anonymous in
Wow! That one word can pretty much sum up this cd. Pillar is comparable to many of the highest-rated secular rock groups available today, but at the same time, they offer christian lyrics! I would suggest that any rock fan purchase this cd! Awesome cd!

Where Do We Go from Here Awesome CD! October 6th 2004 by Anonymous in
This cd is an amazing follow-up to the Fireproof cd. I was really expecting somewhat of a letdown since the first cd was so great, but happily experienced none! You are cheating yourself if you are a Pillar or Christian Rock fan and do not purchase this cd! Congrats to Pillar for making more great music and I'm looking forward to more in the future!

Fireproof Re-Release Awesome!!! Just Awesome!!!!! October 6th 2004 by Ray in Goose Creek, SC
This group is just AWESOME!!! I got this album as part of a promotional with BMG and I just loved it. I got the original and the re-release together and thought immediately of my brother-in-law who is into secular rock and drug use. I gave one to him for his birthday and he loved it. First he told my wife he really enjoyed it ,and then called to ask more about Pillar, Now he's calling to find out about more Christian music like this. It is just an awesome testimony that God can work though bands like this that are obedient to the call God has placed on their lives and that Christian music is going somewhere...... right to the throne room and is shaking people right out of sinful situations and into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
My wife and I are praying for my brother-in-law's salvation and we pray he will play this for his friends and they will begin to start asking questions themselves!
This album rocks hard and is a must for anyone listening to this genre -secular or christian!
God Bless You

Where Do We Go from Here Pillar... October 10th 2004 by Ashley Champion in Toronto, Canada
This is an awesome cd! If you like sort of a more rock sound to your music, then this is the cd for you! They sound quite similar to P.O.D. and those types of bands. I like this cd better than their old one, "Fireproof".

Where Do We Go from Here Pillar October 14th 2004 by David in College
Pillar is an awesome band and this CD is great. It is slightly less hard rock than their other two CDs but still very good. I like how Rob sings more on this CD and does less rapping than in "Fireproof." The beats are very catchy and the words are so meaningful. My favorite track is #2, "Bring Me Down." Buy this if you have enjoyed the style that Pillar has shown us.

Pillar is great once again in the Cd, "Where do we go from here". They combine their beautiful guitar rifts, screaming voices, and hard rock beats to combine an awesome Cd full of God-centered music. Listen to their song "Battlecry". It's awesome.

Fireproof Re-Release AWESOME! October 22nd 2004 by Austin in TEXAS
Pillar's first CD is really loud, and they sing it proud...to God, that is. Yelling Christian lyrics and beating the bass like there is no tomorrow, Pillar will rock the Christian music world.

Fireproof Re-Release A good album October 30th 2004 by Anonymous in Netherlands
This is the best album I bought in years! It's got good music on it, and also really good lyrics. I didn't know Pillar before I bought this cd, but know I just want more music of them. It's soo good! It's weird to say that the lyrics helped me, but in someway they did, actually. When I'm angry or sad I just listen what these people say and what they are going through. It helps me a lot.

When I 1st heard the album, I couldn't tell if it was a joke or not. Now I prefer it over Bob Carlisle!

Where Do We Go from Here Rock on! November 1st 2004 by Hollie in Duluth, GA
There is no doubt in my mind that God himself isn't banging His glorious head along with the angels to this amazing album. Pillar uses their natural gifts with man - made equipment to bring an electric sound of blasting tunes and precious lyrics.
From track 1 to 12 one can experience all that is Pillar, from hard rock to classic ballads this is a cd for everyone to enjoy.

Fireproof Re-Release Are you Fireproof? November 4th 2004 by Jeice in
This CD here is one of my favorite Rock CDs. A good mixture of rap/rock, straight hard rock, and even an awesome ballad, Fireproof is definitely a five-star album. The band is full of talented musicians who really know their instruments, and the vocals are excellent as well. I really like how the lyrics on this album really speak out to challenge Christians to take a stand for Christ, but I think that this CD is one that anyone who likes rock can get into. Actually, I wouldn't even limit it to people who like rock, because my MOM even likes the cd!

Where Do We Go from Here Don November 4th 2004 by Jeice in
Another top-notch release from Pillar. I disagree with people who say that it is better than Fireproof, I think that the flavor of the CDs are too different to be compared directly. Don't get me wrong, fans of Fireproof, this is the same Pillar that you love (and you will love this CD), but don't expect the rap-rock flavor that you found in Fireproof, it seems that all of the artists are dropping that genre. Oh well, Pillar moves on from there and does an excellent job with a more melodic rock style. I would say that the music on this cd is more complex and skilled than their earlier albums, they obviously must be practicing and it's paying off! One of my favorite songs on the CD is Simply, an awesome rock song that reminds us about God's undying love for us. Since it's Pillar, of course the songs are going to have a positive/challenging message

Wow. I was definitely waiting for this CD from the second I heard it was coming out. I can't stop playing this CD!!! It's insanely good. These guys know how to rock. If you love rock, these guys are one band you do NOT want to miss. Favorite songs: The entire CD?
