Speechless Awesome awesome cd July 16th 2004 by Eric in Texas
Great job on this cd by Steven Curtis Chapman. The lyrics are incredible. I've used a bunch of them as inspiration for Bible studies and such. They're very applicable. Be Still And Know is a GREAT reminder that even with all out CRAZY schedules and the 25 hours of stuff we should get done today, sometimes you just need to be still and know that he is LORD and let Him dictate how your life should go.

All about Love Wonderful! July 28th 2004 by Jennifer in Michigan
This is a wonderful CD with songs that deal with relationships in our Christian walk. Relationships with our husband/wife, relationships with family and friends, and our relationship with God. I love how Steven Curtis Chapman sings songs about his wife - thanking God for her and asking him for wisdom.
Guys, if you want to know what makes women tick, or how to strengthen your relationship with your wife, listen to the songs. They might not be your style, but Mr. Chapman has a good start on learning to understand women!
Girls, you'll love this CD! The songs will warm your heart!

Declaration One of the best albums on the market July 31st 2004 by Cassandra in Wichita, KS
This cd is one of my absolute favorites! It is never far from my cd player. Mr. Chapman's musical creativity never ceases to amaze me. The music is superb and the words are very biblical, which is important to me. The lyrics encourage and exhort Christians to live out their faith and appreciate God's grace and strength. "No Greater Love" is especially inspiring as it was written about a group of my heroes including Nate Saint and Jim Elliot. (I also appreciate it that Mr. Chapman includes verse references in the song pages.) Before I got this cd, "Speechless" was my favorite, but I do believe that Declaration has replaced it! If you do not love this cd and it does not bless your heart and encourage your walk with the Lord, I will be greatly suprised!

All about Love The best love album ever August 6th 2004 by in New York
I don't think anyone can write songs better than Steven Curtis Chapman, especially love songs. He can write love songs that are super sweet for his wife and don't leave God at all. You can tell that God is center to his marriage through this album, and it really is an encouragement to listen to. I would recommend it to anyone in a relationship or not in a relationship. My favorite song is 11-6-64. The lyrics are genius and the music is awesome!

Steven is still a major CCM power even after his 16 albums (or however many it is). All Things New is gonna be great. "All Things New" is a good song and I've heard that there is an even better one than ATN.

All about Love This is gorgeous September 29th 2004 by Rachel in UK
This is a beautiful love album it is very sweet and quite insightful at times.
Most of the songs are slow and the album may have benefited from a few more up tempo numbers but Stevens voice is as always amazing. I particularly like the cover of 500 miles by the proclaimers and the song about Tarzan and Jane. Well done Steven

All about Love Excellent musician/songwriter!!! October 3rd 2004 by Michael in CA
I consider myself a true fan of Steve. I have listened since the first album and own many. I think he is really one of the greatest lyricists in Christian music history. The interesting thing is that I actually don't prefer his style of music (though it does grow on me) but I end up buying (almost) every one of his albums because I find his lyrics so meaningful and relevant. This album makes me want to be a better man and husband-- It's that good!!!

Videos Great Idea November 11th 2004 by Amy in California
Putting all Steven's videos onto a DVD was a brilliant idea. I absolutely love it! They are all good and done so well. It's neat to see the path Steven's career has taken - all the way from long hair and horses in "The Great Adventure," to his loving eyes when he looks at his new daughter in "When Love Takes You In." This man is real - he loves Jesus - and it shows in all these videos. This is a definite winner for yourself or for a loved one!

Speechless Classic SCC! November 18th 2004 by Anonymous in CA
Steven Curtis Chapman is a really talented musician and lyricist, as shown clearly in "speechless". SCC kicks off the album with strong tracks such as "Dive" and "the change", but then slows things down a bit at the end of the album with some truly beautiful songs (with hope, Be still and know, etc.). The only real knock on SCC is his propensity for writing similar sounding songs (Speechless bears an uncanny resemblance to "Not home yet"). Nevertheless, I highly recommend this album because of its eclectic and touching songs.

 |
Declaration WOW! November 18th 2004 by Derek in CA
I really liked SCC's previous album (Speechless), and I was skeptical that he could produce something even better than that. He proved me wrong. the first 9 tracks are, in my opinion, masterpieces. "Live out Loud" is probably the most populat single from the CD, but anyone of the first 9 or so tracks should be regularly played on the radio. SCC's lyrics are honest and thought-provoking (as always), but I was really impressed by his ability to rock out a little bit more on this album. If I had to choose a favorite track, it would be "See the Glory". It talks about just taking time to reflect on God's greatness. Buy it!
|
 |
All about Love touching November 19th 2004 by Derek in CA
It's so nice that SCC took the time to break it down plain-- it really is all about love. Period. That simple fact drives a whole collection of songs dedicated to that one thing that makes life worth living: love. No way not to like this album.

All Things New Good cd November 30th 2004 by in PA
Well, since SC has already been labeled many times with an awesome voice, let's not go there. This CD has got some powerful lyrics and toe tapping tunes. You are guarenteed to be left with a heart felt need for Christ along with gratitude for death on the cross. Bravo SC! I give this album 4 stars for the fact that it isn't nessisarily the best CD of my collection, but it's up there.

The Music of Christmas Steven Curtis Chapman - The Music of Christmas (CD) December 9th 2004 by Carolyn in Indian Trail, North Carolina
This is the best collection of both traditional and orginal Christmas music I've listened to. I love how Steven Curtis Chapman focuses on what Christmas is all about: Jesus Christ. As always, he demonstrates his ability to put into words what is in the heart of mankind, as well as revealing so poignantly the heart of God. I've listened to "Going Home for Christmas" and "Precious Promise" over and over again, and both songs can still bring me to tears!

All Things New a great addition to scc collection December 10th 2004 by Shaobo Liu in los angeles
The cd is a great addition to the scc collection. Scc's style has changed a bit since his release of "declaration", but it's still good and very much God-centered. The tracks "all things new" and "much of you" are inspiring and encouraging.

All Things New This is awesome January 30th 2005 by Andreas in Rochester, MI
I saw Steven in Saginaw, MI not too long ago on his All Things New tour...it was awesome...I was also able to see him again in Nashville where he performed his song "Much of You" with Chris Tomlin at the Passion 05 conference! I have been a SCC fan for a long time, and he keeps on plucking away writing songs that will always be relevant and moving/motivational to his listeners! Buy this album! It is awesome!

Parent's Prayer Parents Prayer January 31st 2005 by Rebecca in Georgia
I love "Soundtracks" because of the three different keys. Because of this, my dad and I were able to sing "Parents Prayer" as a duet. It was beautiful. It made the parents cry. We couldn't have done it without the different keys.

Speechless whatever steven is always good March 19th 2005 by edison in seattle washington
this guy really writes with passion and the word of God! he really does get inspiration from reading the bible because a lot of his songs if you listen are straight bible verses. this album particularly is really good. catchy tunes and gets you into it right away with his song "dive". and then ends it nicely with an orchestra piece. buy it!

All Things New Another great cd by Chapman! April 11th 2005 by Rachel in PA
Steven Curtis Chapman scores again with "All Things New!" He is a talented writer/composer whose life mirrors his heartfelt lyrics. I had the opportunity to visit with him briefly, and I was touched by his clear testimony. He pours his heart into his music, and "the sacrifice of a broken and contrite heart" is what God desires and honors! Chapman is also a master musician.
If you like foot-thumping, raise your hands and shout, or tender, reflective music, "All Things New" is right for you!

All about Love Beautiful imagery April 11th 2005 by Rachel in PA
Steven Curtis Chapman's "All About Love" is not just a cd for the married. Those who are yet single have the opportunity to glimpse into the heart of a couple striving and struggling to please God in everything they do. This cd is not just for those who need a night away from the kids to slow dance and remember the incredible journey they've taken together, this cd is also for those who need reminders of why they are waiting for God's best.
Married couples, dating couples, and singles alike should get "All About Love" as a reminder of what godly love is worth!

The Abbey Road Sessions; The Walk With DVD Worth The Price Of Admission May 2nd 2005 by andrew in ohiotheheartofitall
Who else could release a 5 song set and be successful? Only Steven Curtis Chapman! These 5 songs exemlplify SCC's guitar playing deft and his songwriting skill ... enough to make 5 tracks worth the price of admission. What SCC and the musicians do in this package is awesome. "Treasure of You" is a rip roaring blast. Oh ... and by the way, the DVD is cool, too.

All Things New steven curtis chapman...making himself new June 30th 2005 by Allison in dallas, tx
Steven Curtis Chapman blows me away with every album he puts out. He is obviously a man who is completely in love with God. I love the fact that he is the main songwriter and yet no song sounds the same.
My favourite song on this album is "Angel's Wish." It is one of the most thought-provoking songs I've ever heard.
|
 |
Declaration A great album! July 4th 2005 by Caleb in Missouri
All of Steven Curtis Chapman's albums are good, and this is no exception. He sings songs about God in a way that shows his passion and how he wants to know God more. His passion is even contagious and it gives you a hunger for more of God. I especially like the song "Magnificent Obsession" which is about how Steven Curtis Chapman wants God to be the center of his life. He says "Lord, I want it all to be for you, Jesus. Be my magnificent obsession." I strongly suggest buying this album, as it is one of Chapman's best.

All Things New maybe a 5 +++ July 13th 2005 by Chris in Louisiana
This is an awesome CD. I am an avid Steven Curtis Chapman fan and I love this CD. Even though my favirote song (Only Getting Started) has not made it on the radio yet (like All Things New, Much of You, and Believe Me Now) I think it will. I highly reccomend this CD to anyone that is interested in Christian music.

Speechless His best CD ever July 13th 2005 by Chris in Lousiana
This is Steven's best CD of all time. It features songs like Dive, Speechless, The Change, Fingerprints of God, Next Five Minutes, Whatever, and I Do Believe. Almost all of the songs just listed can be heard on the radio. This is by far Steven's best work ever, and if you are wondering which SCC CD to buy, this would be your Bullzie. I higly recommend this CD to every person. Steven has won multiple GMA Awards and this CD won a Grammy.

Declaration Live Out Loud July 13th 2005 by Chris in LA
This CD is one of Steven's best. With songs like Live Out Loud, God is God, Magnificent Obsession, and No Greater Love, how could anyone refuse this CD? My favirote song on this CD would have to be See the Glory because it has a cool beat and it has the GameBoy sound mixed in with it. I also like Declaration of Dependence. This CD is Highly recommended

All about Love This Was Not his best July 13th 2005 by Chris in LA
Although I love Steven Curtis Chapman's music, this was not one of my favorites. I like the songs All About Love, With Every Little Kiss, and Moment Made For Worshipping. However, since I am not married, most of these songs do not appeal to me. I recently gave this CD to my cousin and I think she loved it. Another one of my favorite songs is I Will Be Here. This CD is a must have for any married couple. Guys, if you need a good birthday/anniversary present you just hit the jackpot.

Greatest Hits Volume One Awesome July 13th 2005 by Chris in Baton Rouge
I am particularly fond of this CD because I did not get into Christian music until 1998. This CD basically puts all of his CD's together and takes the best songs such as Great Adventure, No Better Place, More To This Life, Lord of the Dance, and Not Home Yet. I highly reccomend this CD to anyone who likes SCC and it is a must have for those people who collect greatest hits CD's.

All Things New Rock on! July 13th 2005 by Benjamin in NY
A great sequel to his debut album, Speechless. This one is full of great songs, although maybe a little less captivating. Some of these songs have brought me to tears just realizing how great God is and how truly unworthy I am of His love. Steven Curtis Chapman brings that out through his clean yet sophisticated compositions. A worthy buy indeed.
|
 |
Videos cool cool cool July 22nd 2005 by Anonymous in NY
I've been a fan of Stephen Curtis Chapman ever since The Great Adventure song and video first came out. However, I had not seen any of his other videos until I had the chance to get the DVD and see what the others were like. I rate his music at 5 stars because of his consistency in creating really interesting and well crafted songs. Having been a professional musician at one time in another genre, I can't begin to tell you how hard that is to do album after album. The videos (on DVD) are well crafted and present the story line of the songs in a way that gets to the heart of the matter (oops, sorry Don) which can be watched by kids and adults alike. I can recommend this set of music videos for both your viewing enjoyment and listening pleasure -- and for the encouragement they provide!

 |
Steven Curtis Chapman Live can July 22nd 2005 by Anonymous in NY
the best part of this video is it's ministry element, that is, how steven uses multimedia and moving images to complement his concert. You will see lots of multimedia, footages, MTV as the songs move along for the purposes of telling you a great story. There are two big stories in the concert DVD. One is shaohannah, his adopted daughter from China, and the other is on the 5 missionaries who were killed by the Auca Indians back in the 1950s. These two stories unfold, as he sings various songs..and that is what connects you deeply with the grace of God.
