Sumo of the Opera Great for Kids! September 8th 2004 by Anonymous in Tennessee
Since I babysit kids of all ages, I see many of these Veggie Tale movies. All of the kids love to watch Veggie Tales! It's entertaining, yet they also learn a valuable lesson, whether about a Bible story or losing a hairbrush. I am 16, yet I still love to watch Veggie Tales. It puts another perspective on the Bible stories. May I also recommend the Veggie Rocks CD! There are great Veggie Tales songs on it, yet they are sung by famous Christian rock groups- it is worth it!

Sumo of the Opera brilliant October 25th 2004 by Anonymous in CA
Good luck trying to keep a straight face whle watching this installment of veggie tales brilliance. I've heard people complaining that Sumo is not a good subject for children and that the stroy about St. Patrick is demeaning to pagan religions. Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. This episode of veggie tales silly yet insightful. I will have no problem showing these to my kids someday.
Also of note, Sumo checks in at just under an hour long. Talk about a bargain!

The Ultimate Silly Song Countdown hilarious! November 18th 2004 by Derek in CA
When the Pirates (who don't do anything) have to do a countdown show of the best veggie tunes, can they manage to successfully pull of the show while managing to avoid showing preference to their own song? This comical little jaunt through a steady stream of classic veggie tunes will delight kids and grown-ups of all ages. Highlights include the spontaneous creation of the "Moo-shoo" song and the hilarious rendition of "Larry's high silk hat".

Sumo of the Opera Sumo you November 24th 2004 by Nigel in UK
Veggie Tales is great fun and contains a good message for ages 2-102. Sumo Of The Opera is a solid outing for the Veggies, if not a classic. The story of St Patrick is pretty funny, even though it kinda has a South Park feel to the animation.

Minnesota Cuke easy to recommend April 10th 2005 by Anonymous in ca
This one's easy to recommend, folks. Having seen a couple previews for this episode, it looks like it's sure to be another rousing adventure. The Indiana Jones spoof looks very slick (with Mr. Lunt as the bad guy, no less!). The lesson of dealing with selfishness and greed is an important one, so I think we can look forward to another quality effort from the gang at Veggie Tales

Stand Up, Stand Tall, Stand Strong! Good Veggie Fun April 10th 2005 by Anonymous in ca
This excellent compilation features to full-length episodes (which are fantastic of course) and the story of Flibber-O-Loo. I highly recommend these because it's a great way to save on buying separate episodes. I personally would buy them anyway, but it's just another excuse to get your dose of veggie-fun.

God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?! Good lesson April 10th 2005 by Anonymous in ca
This episode teaches children that it's important to forgive others because that's what God wants us to do. It's a valuable lesson not only for kids but for adults as well.

Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space good veggie fun April 10th 2005 by Anonymous in ca
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. The danger of tellies lies (or even littls fibs) is exposed in this excellent episode from Veggie Tales. The moral of the story is that lies will always come back to bite you if you don't choose to honestly tell the truth. Good moral.

Lyle the Kindly Viking: A Lesson in Sharing clever and funny April 10th 2005 by Anonymous in ca
The art and virtue of sharing is highlighted in this delightful Viking Tale. I thought it was pretty funny, especially when Larry and Bob try to distract Mr. Nezzer.

Sumo of the Opera Opera Creativity June 23rd 2005 by Tanya in Temecula, CA
The creativity used to teach children to not give up is wonderful! The use of opera and the underlying theme of Rocky were a perfect combination. My nephew gets a kick out of The Italian Scallion and his jokes. We love the songs and message that this has instilled in my nephew and daughter.

Sumo of the Opera BEST IN CHILDREN July 12th 2005 by IVELISSE in MASSACHUSETTS
VEGGIE TALES HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL IN THE UPBRINGING OF MY CHILDREN. IN A WORLD WHERE TELEVISION HAS SO MUCH INFLUENCE IT IS A RELIEF TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE TO FOR MY CHILDREN. THERE IS A LESSON IN EACH VIDEO THAT CHILDREN FIND IT EASY TO FOLLOW. MY KIDS FAVORITE IS "WHERE IS GOD WHEN I'M SCARED". I HOPE THEY KEEP MAKING NEW STORIES.

Sumo of the Opera St. Patrick was the best part! April 15th 2006 by Anonymous in OZ
This is a great new veggie movie. The Italian Scallion is very funny, but by far my favorite part was the story of St. Patrick. It was a great education for our children, so they can know that St. Patrick was not about green beer, but Christ! Of course it was silly and made us laugh, but I think teaching kids about church history is a great thing.

Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space Great show about the danger of lies April 15th 2006 by Anonymous in OZ
This is a great way to teach kids how a lie grows. I thought it was a great visualization of the consequences of sin.

 |
Larry-Boy! and the Fib from Outer Space wonderful June 9th 2006 by Kimiko in
I love all the Veggie Tale adventures but the lesson of this videos in one of the best lessons you could ever teach a child, or even an adult. One lie can grow out of control even if it was a "little white lie" to begin with.
