Customer Reviews Average Customer Rating: ![]() Reviewer: from OK Let me preface my actual review of this work with a personal opinion on faith. I is not the duty of the christain to prove their faith. With that said; it is certainly not the christian's duty to allow the scholarship and philosophy of their day to escape the church completely. I feel that Lewis writes much in the tradition of Augstine, Justin Martyr, Aquinas, Luther, Calvin and most certainly Paul of Tarsus. C.S. Lewis was a man of intense faith but would certainly not allow the intelligent design of his faith to be overlooked by scholars or laymen of his day. That is what this work is all about. Lewis discusses the broader aspects of our faith in a way that escapes no literate man, educated or not. I would recommend this before many of the "apologetic" works of today in a heartbeat.
