Arriving rocks with inspiring, guitar-driven pop melodies reflecting the roots traditions of Austin, Texas, where it was recorded and home to the church Tomlin co-founded, Austin Stone Community Church. The project's raw, straightforward lyrics are knotted tight with hooks as big and broad as the Lone Star state sky. Producer Ed Cash (Caedmon's Call, Kathy Mattea, Bebo Norman) brings his signature touch to the tracks, revealing that the talent pool is deeper than even the artist knew.

Arriving tips the scales more toward corporate worship songs than devotional ones, melding wisdom, gratitude and celebration into a single package. 'I try to write songs in a clear, simple way that people can understand and so they can sing the songs after hearing them once or twice, Tomlin shares. He crafted nine of 11 songs for the record, including 'How Great Is Our God, which Chris identifies as the anchor to Arriving.

Chris Tomlin
Closely identified with the Passion movement, Chris Tomlin is the familiar worship leader from OneDay. As one of the premier songwriters of today, his own CDs include The Noise We Make and Not To Us. Released in 2004, this is an album that has a certain timeless quality about it despite what might be considered a more modern sound. From the opening exuberance of “Indescribable” right to the softly sung last lines of “You do all things well” Tomlin has created an album of modern hymns, tightly focused on the majesty and glory of God. This is one of my favorite Christian CDs. I saw Chris Tomlin last year at Spirt West Coast and ever since then I have been hooked. The worship songs on this CD move me in a way that very few do and I lift my hands to worship in the car. The amazing thing about this CD is that the first three songs are all hits! The whole CD is pretty good, but those first three songs ("Indescribable," "Holy Is the Lord," and "How Great Is Our God") are the ones that will be remembered and known. "Holy Is the Lord" is already a well-known worship song, "Indescribable" simply points to creation as a testimony to our God, and "How Great Is Our God" very simply states the greatness of God. This CD is a must-have for any worship collection!

After purchasing the cd I listened to the first song "Indescribable" and decided that the song was worth buying the cd itself, but the rest of the songs are amazing as well. Chris Tomlin has an ability to write so very God centered songs. We use many of the songs in our worship service at church and "Mighty is the Power of the Cross" has been a song we've played many times during communion. I wish I could rate this cd higher than a 5!

I first heard Chris Tomlin live at a CGM convention, and worshiping live with him was totally amazing! He has a real passion for the Lord that comes across in his music! I bought 3 of his CDs at the conference, and listen to them regularly. I have only heard this new song of Chris's, but let me tell you I like what I'm hearing!!! I have his latest album before this one and i absoultely love it!! God has given him such a wondeful talent and the wisdom and strenght to perform all over!! I first was introdued to Chris Tomlin last year at a Charlotte Youth Convention....he was the worship leader for all 3 days we were there both night and day. The songs on Arriving are straightforward, honest, God-centered worship, true to the style of Chris Tomlin. This is my favorite Tomlin album so far. I purchase new worship albums regularly as a resource for the worship team that I lead. When I get a new album, I usually get 2-3 usable songs. With Arriving, I need to go purchase the folio because there is only one song that I don't think that I will teach the team. You won't be disappointed with this one. It is well worth the money spent.

This is a great album by Chris Tomlin! His lyrics are so inspirational, and you can tell by his singing that he truly has a passion for worshipping God. I love his voice because it just sounds like he is in awe of the majesty of the One he is singing to and about. I highly recommend this CD.

Chris Tomlin has made another awesome worship album in "Arriving!" the songs "How Great Is Our God" and "Indescribable" ring true to their titles. What great and meaningful lyrics, as well! Our God really IS Great (and oh, so much more!) He is indescribable, too - No one can compare to Him! Our church sang "Indescribable" in worship this weekend, and was just that - Indescribable! Chris Tomlin is a great worship leader and I look forward to this new album. He finds some great songs to sing. "Holy Is The Lord" is a great song that our youth group loves to sing.
