"An Easter Carol" follows the story of Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, who have been working in Ebenezer Nezzer's plastic egg factory to make up for burning down his theater. Easter is on its way to merry old London, and St. Barth's Church is about to unveil a new stained glass window. But Mr. Nezzer unveils his plan to knock down the church and build "Easterland"instead -- an amusement park designed around plastic eggs and chocolate bunnies! He'll have to learn a very important lesson (from a pair of mysterious, late-night guests) about what the hope of Easter really means.
This is a powerful story that will remind the viewer why millions of Christians around the world celebrate Easter past, present, and future! Featuring Grammy-winning recording artist Rebecca St. James as the voice of Hope!

This is great July 22, 2006 Reviewer: Anonymous from USA
This is one of my favorite veggietales videos. Even though it is an Easter story it is great for all year round. It also includes Rebecca St. James as one of the voices in it.
A Terrific Easter movie March 27, 2006 Reviewer: Anonymous from Kansas
This movie is awesome! It is funny and moving. I got teary eyed at the climax of the movie when Rebecca St. James sings. It was not only moving but shows Easter for what it really is, all about Jesus!
An Easter Carol (Veggie Tales) March 4, 2005 Reviewer: Rommel from Butuan City, Philippines
A great buy and a great wholesome entertainment for the little ones, with lessons that just can't be forgotten. My nephews and nieces adore it and it has filled the whole house with great lovely tunes. You have got to buy this!!!
Not bad November 18, 2004 Reviewer: Derek from CA
Since this story includes the characters from "Star of Christmas", I was expecting a little more in the funny department. Don't get me wrong, this DVD is still worthy of ownership (show me a veggie tales episode that isn't). Still, I thought that the story was a little bogged down, and at times I almost felt that the characters were trying to be funny and yet failing somehow. Overall, this isn't my favorite veggie tales episode, but I appreciated the extension of Bob and Larry's "Cavis" and "Millward" characters.

The Easter Carol is one of the best VT videos out! I am a HUGE fan of Rebecca St. James and it was awsome hearing her as Hope. But even without Miss St. James it would still rank high!
great Easter story!! July 15, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from USA
The creators really did a neat job putting the story into a movie for kids. VeggieTales has never done a story about Jesus or the gospel, and I think they did a really creative job with An Easter Carol.
A couple of cool quotes from the movie: "Easter means no death" (yes, Jesus died, but because of His sacrifice we don't have to), and from the end of the main song in the movie "He [Jesus] died for all to give us life, and to give us hope He rose" (so simple - it is made for kids, but still so cool to me). Rebecca St. James is the voice of "Hope" the angel, and I think she did a really great job with that.
As a young adult who works with kids, I've seen all of the VeggieTales episodes, and this one is my new favorite!
