Product Description Returning after their critically acclaimed debut Thrill Seeker, August Burns Red comes out with a dominating sophomore release The Messengers. When asked to compare the two records, guitarist JB Brubakker states "the new record is along the lines of what we did on Thrill Seeker, but it's faster, shreddier, and more riffs. We learned a lot since our last record and I think the songwriting and musicianship is a lot stronger."These Lancaster, PA youngsters have accomplished on their first two records what it takes most bands to do in a lifetime, combining the technical aspects of European Metal, the breakdowns of American Hardcore, and vocal stylings that leave no rock unturned in the Metal genre. Produced by Tue Madsen (Extol, The Haunted, Becoming The Archetype), this record promises to be the most brutal, yet polished venture yet for the band. |

Customer Reviews Average Customer Rating: ![]() Reviewer: Anonymous from Xela This album shows the talent of the guys from August Burns Red. The fans of genres like hardcore, rock, screamo, among others, will find this album so enjoyable. Reviewer: from This album is a good solid metal album. The lead guitarif you can pick it out over the growls, grinding guitars and drums it superb. The growls are great, not high pitched, but not ridiculously low pitched so it sounds like some jungle creature, but just right in the middle. The drumming is great too and rythm guitars are also superb. Track 6 has a part in the middle that is just amazing, it slows down a bit and sounds great. The only downside is that, although all sounding great, the songs seem to sound the same after a while. Overall though a great pick for any metal/hardcore fan. Show all 2 reviews |
