The thorn tattoo that adjourns Jennifer Knapp's right arm describes the Kansas born star perfectly. Knapp is a self-described rocker chick, and she wears the moniker well. But with her third album releasing recently, The Way I Am, you begin to understand that this is one very talented, and very deep young Christian music star. Matched with an all-star band of musicians who have worked with everyone from Michael Jackson to Genesis, Knapp didn't disappoint. The title song, "The Way I Am", was the first of 12 songs completed for the album, and it really opens up a door into Knapp's life. Jennifer states, "It's based on the fact that I don't want to be the way that I am, but yet I am human with human vices."

the way to rock April 4, 2006 Reviewer: Anonymous from Xela
Jeniffer is able to blend her signature pop rock sound with infectious hooks and melodies, holding such a force and passion that has yet to be heard like this on a JK record. And don´t forget the deep lyrics that will touch your heart.
Knapp - "The Way I Am" March 5, 2006 Reviewer: from Mooresville, NC
Many folks seem to like her first CD, "Kansas" best, but not me. This is her definitive statement and an absolutely fantastic album! The whole concept of putting the book of John to music is great to begin with, but she does it with such grace and a human touch, just they way I envision the apostle. Usually, I am into harder music, but her rhythm and lyrics put this on on my CD player often, with never a regret.
Knapp it Know August 9, 2005 Reviewer: Jesse from OKLAHOMA
Jenny has such a great voice that is amazingly so unique. I love her songwriting skills also. I love it. I think that everyone should buy this cd.

A good one to get October 1, 2004 Reviewer: Joshua from Germany
Starts off strong, but seems to end weak. This album has several great songs and is still high on my list of listened to.
LOVE IT!! September 22, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from The U.S.A
I love Jennifer Knapps voice, it sounds like a Sarah Mclachlan, Natilee Merchant mix, but it also has its own sound to it. Her guitar based music is awesome. There are many upbeat songs that rock, and one pretty slower, quiet song. Toby Mac comes as a guest singer in one song too. Jennifer Knapp is an awesome guitar player, singer, and song writer.
The Way I Am vs. The way it was . . . August 19, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from PA
Progress is good??? Jennifer Knapp's sound has changed significantly by this, her third album. Once a folksy, accoustic rocker on CDs like "Kansas" and "Lay It Down," by "The Way I Am" Jennifer has moved into more of a production mode. The songs are backed, often, by full band (and even orchestra), and the accoustic guitars seemed to have been dropped for electronic instrumentals. All in all, a step in a new direction, but not necessarily a bad thing.
Beautiful voice! July 21, 2004 Reviewer: Shannon from Phoenix, AZ
This is an amazing cd! Jennifer Knapp has an absolutely incredible voice and her faith in Christ bursts from this album with a huge explosion. I find myself crying out to God everytime I listen to it and singing at the top of my lungs because its so powerful! I love this cd so much because its worshipful, but yet its her own style so it feels different and better than singing the normal worship songs that we all know already. This cd is a great buy if you love women rocking out to the Lord on their guitars, accompanied by incredible jaw dropping voices.
