If all hardcore were this amazing, we?d never need any other kind of music. Vibrant, heavy, melodic stomping music that will take you to the depths of your strength while also shoving you in front of your reservations at the same time. 'Drawing Black Lines? is void of worthless drivel and mindless entertainment. The albums 12 compositions come straight from the hearts of these four suburban L.A. gentlemen who have found the ability to create one of the strongest hardcore records ever made. There is no degree of simplicity contained anywhere in their dynamic assault on your ears.

The Best Project 86 CD to date! August 3, 2005 Reviewer: Ben from wisconsin
I miss the old Project 86 when they were metal like on this CD. I'd have to say their 2004 release "Songs to Burn Your Bridges By" is a very good CD also though. I'm really looking forward to "And the Rest Will Follow" coming out September 27, 2005. I'm going to buy it.
Metal Masterpiece May 5, 2005 Reviewer: Adam from
To those of you out there who think that christian music just won't ever be hardcore enough for you, Drawing Black Lines is a kick in the face. It's heavy. It's got faster rhythms, slower rhythms, and rhythms that change seamlessly mid-song. U2-like complexity in the guitar orchestration, intriguing and haunting basslines, and excellent drum lix make this a masterpiece. the aforementioned guitar riffs are thrashing, fluid, and provoking. To top it off, the vocals are top notch (but not sung). Andy Schwab (lead singer) doesn't actually sing. Nonetheless, the vocals seem a perfect fit. The lyrics are blatantly christian. Not only that, but they delve into the darker aspects of life not spoke of in other christian music. This is easily one of the top 10 albums of all time.
Project 86 does it again November 12, 2004 Reviewer: from
this was a Great follow up from the Self Titled CD, same intence music, same awesome lyrics and message. Project 86 is the best band out there.
Metal with a Message July 26, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from Oregon
Drawing Black Lines is a CD that shows that even metal has a great message. With Songs like Me Against Me, Chimes, and One-Armed Man. Me Against Me shows the sometimes your biggest enemy is yourself and One-Armed Man shows how the world looks for something to believe in and try to fill that void in their life that only Jesus Christ can fill.
It is an amazing CD that shows lots of Talent
Inventive Heavy Metal July 17, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from USA
This band is one of the hardest rocking metal bands in christian music. They don't play your standard heavy metal seething distortion, instead they have heavy, in-your-face, crunch distortion and even heavier guitar riffs. This album is a complete must have for the die hard metal fan.
