Skillet October 14, 2004 Reviewer: David from Minnesota
If you didn't get into Skillet until recently, it is definately worth picking up this album. In many ways it resembles their most recent album, "Collide", albeit less hard and a bit less polished. This CD contains more variety than many of their later efforts, but there are a number of solid hits on here.
Excellent October 10, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from MN
I recently became a Skillet fan and I went out and got their newest cd, and I just recently went out and got this one. It blew my mind! This is a great debut cd, and it's different than the rest of their cds. "I Can" is my favorite.
Classic October 8, 2004 Reviewer: Will from Klamath Falls, OR
This is a classic CD. If you dont have a copy of this CD your lost in the dust. Skillet is one of the most inspirational christian bands around. They have awesome lyrics, awesome music, awesome everything. This was before they went techno, so its all good :)
skillet goodness October 2, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from america
Skillet has always rocked, if your a fan of skillet, you better not miss their debut, because you cannot call yourself a fan if you do, great cd, buy it now!
If "I Can," you can. August 19, 2004 Reviewer: Anonymous from PA
Before they delved into the realms of techno rock with such releases as "Hey, You, I Love Your Soul" and "Invincible," there was Skillet's self-titled debut. "I Can" is the first, and best, track on the album, unique, inspiring, thrilling all at once. "Safe With You" is slower, but equally inspiring – I love listening to it when I feel on-edge or overworked. The song has always been able to bring me back around, calm me down, and set my vision straight. Great album, great debut, also check out "Collide," Skillet's fifth release.
panhead!! August 9, 2004 Reviewer: Julie from texas
Skillet is great!!! this cd is awesome!!!
Nice Debut July 29, 2004 Reviewer: Sarah from Florida
This is the CD that made me fall head over heels in love with Skillet! I was browsing through the internet a long time ago looking for Christian groups when I stumbled upon the official Skillet website. After hearing the songs "I Can" and "Saturn" online, I was hooked by this group! Those songs blew my mind and continue to be some of my most favorite songs of all time. As for the rest of this album, the music is a little more alternative than what you're used to hearing from Skillet. In all honesty, there aren't any other stand out songs from this CD, but it's definitely trackable and worth having in any collection.
