Inspiring Instrumentals! ( ) by John in New Jersey
If you enjoyed Phil's classic "Beyond Nature" CD, then think of this album as it's worthy sequel. Filled with a lot of snippets of song ideas as well as fully developed tunes, this album is perfect for quiet contemplation or as background music. Check out "The Marionette," "Metamorphosis," and "Paka" for some ear-pleasing melodies.

A perennial favorite, this intrumental album showcases the guitar mastery of Phil combined with some of the most beautiful melodies you'll ever hear. From the opening "In the Light of Common Day," you are pulled into an accoustic tour-de-force that continues throughout the album. Check out the lovely "I Feel the Winds of God Today," and the meditative "When Night Falls." This is one of those albums where every track is a perfect 10.

Christian music fans have enjoyed the creative songwriting and blazing guitar skills of Phil Keaggy since the '70s, and this album does not disappoint. From the surprisingly fitting guitar-driven rock on "Be Thou My Vision" to the delicate lyrical beauty of "And On That Day", his creative talent and love for the Lord show throughout. "Salvation Army Band" has some of the best guitar work Phil has recorded.
If you know don't Keaggy's music, introduce yourself to a CCM legend with this masterpiece. If you already know his stuff, this will still top off your collection.
