Beautiful voice! ( ) by Shannon in Phoenix, AZ
This is an amazing cd! Jennifer Knapp has an absolutely incredible voice and her faith in Christ bursts from this album with a huge explosion. I find myself crying out to God everytime I listen to it and singing at the top of my lungs because its so powerful! I love this cd so much because its worshipful, but yet its her own style so it feels different and better than singing the normal worship songs that we all know already. This cd is a great buy if you love women rocking out to the Lord on their guitars, accompanied by incredible jaw dropping voices.
GREAT CD! ( ) by in Boonville, IN
This is a wonderful CD with great Christian music. There is a good mix of rock music and slower, beautiful music - but all of it has exceptional lyrics accompanied by the very talented Jennifer Knapp's voice.
Highlights: Undo Me, Whole Again, His Grace Is Sufficient, Hold Me Now, and Martyrs and Thieves. There are many more good ones, too! Check it out!
One of Christian music ( ) by Anonymous in PA
A folksy debut–I can't say that I've ever been into country music. And this is by no means country...by no means at all. But at times, there is a certain folksy twang to it. There are some great rocking songs like "Undo Me" and "Romans." But with such downright inspirational tracks as "Martyrs and Thieves" and "Refine Me," this CD marks the debut of a great female Christian artist. One of Contemporary Christian music's greatest artists.
Sophomore success ( ) by Anonymous in PA
After such a great debut with "Kansas," Jennifer Knapp does nothing to disappoint with her sophomore effort "Lay It Down." The album is a little more refined, a little more organized than the first, the tracks set in perfect order for variation and flow. Tracks like "Usher Me Down" and "You Answer Me" stand out as great acoustic rock, not just on this CD, but overall. And the very first track, "A Little More," leads the way on a great CD, worthwhile to any Christian acoustic rock fan.
The Way I Am vs. The way it was . . . ( ) by Anonymous in PA
Progress is good??? Jennifer Knapp's sound has changed significantly by this, her third album. Once a folksy, accoustic rocker on CDs like "Kansas" and "Lay It Down," by "The Way I Am" Jennifer has moved into more of a production mode. The songs are backed, often, by full band (and even orchestra), and the accoustic guitars seemed to have been dropped for electronic instrumentals. All in all, a step in a new direction, but not necessarily a bad thing.
LOVE IT!! ( ) by Anonymous in The U.S.A
I love Jennifer Knapps voice, it sounds like a Sarah Mclachlan, Natilee Merchant mix, but it also has its own sound to it. Her guitar based music is awesome. There are many upbeat songs that rock, and one pretty slower, quiet song. Toby Mac comes as a guest singer in one song too. Jennifer Knapp is an awesome guitar player, singer, and song writer.

I became a Jennifer Knapp fan a little out of order, beginning my collection with her second and third releases...what a mistake. Her first effort is her best effort and that's saying a lot for this inspirational and talented musician. Though she sings a bit flat at times, that minor flaw in the recording is more than overcome by Jennifer's energy, emotion and expression. I have yet to listen through this CD without being brought to tears somewhere along the way. Every song has something special, and 'Refine Me' and 'Faithful To Me' are two of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
A good one to get ( ) by Joshua in Germany
Starts off strong, but seems to end weak. This album has several great songs and is still high on my list of listened to.
Jennifer Knapp, excellent... ( ) by Anonymous in SoCal
I've had this album for a very long time...and i fell in love with it again. "A Little More" and "Usher Me Down" are my absolute favorites! She says things her way, and it works so well. Her acoustics and songwriting have inspired me as a younger teen, and she still contines to inspire without a doubt. If you need a little "folk" in your "rock", listen to her music!
