Pillar - Above ( ) by Anonymous in USA
From Flickerrecords.com comes Pillar's debut album entitled Above. Pillar has a unique musical style all their own. Their musical style is a combination of rap, hard-core, metal, and even some influences of reggae. Pillar's dedication to sharing the gospel to young people around the world shows with their straight-forward, in-your-face lyrics.
The album starts out with an intro that flows into "Live For Him", a song about being on the road, engaged in warfare for souls, and sharing Christ with others everywhere they go. "All Day Everyday" is the "heaviest" song on the album. A hard-core, metal song with screaming and all! The title track, "Above", is about praising God. The song is about how God is everything in their lives. "Everything to my God above, He's my one and only true love."
"Galactic Groove", an Old Skool-style rap, features Knowdaverbs rapping/telling a story about "living the rap life," full of futuristic puns. The song shows the life of a rapper today, and one in 2003. It also shows that through time, Christ was, is, and always will be in control of the Universe. The album concludes with the only soft song on the album, entitled "Father". Lead singer, Rob Beckley's smooth vocals tell about how God is their everything and how He will take them home, to Heaven, one day.
Pillar truly has the talent to do almost anything musically, vocally, and lyrically - and they take advantage of it all. There is something for everyone on this album.
Awesome Band, Above Par Music! ( ) by in Boonville, IN
This is an awesome title for any fan of Christian Rock. But for any of you that have been listening to Pillar along the way, you know that their lyrics just don't back down. Well, I'll have to say that on this album you have to know that they are Christian to know that they're singing about Jesus. I think this can be used to reach out to non-believers, but I still have to say that I miss Christ's name and the "Proud-Of-Our-Faith" Pillar from the albums "Above" and "Fireproof".
This is an awesome CD, with awesome music, lyrics and message - but I would just have to say that it seems the band lightened up on the lyrics a bit. I would say, however, that it is a wonderful CD for people of any age!

You start off with Fireproof, questionably the best Christian Rock song of the decade and go through 11 AMAZING tracks until you end up with a remixed version of Fireproof. It's a musical and lyrical rollercoaster that you will listen to OVER AND OVER again until you think you will wear it out.... but you won't!
Pillar combines awesome heavy guitar riffs, cool beats, and wonderful lyrics all surrounding faith in Jesus Christ. They do an awesome job of contronting the listener on things such as integrity in Christ (Behind Closed Doors, Just To Get By), fighting a battle for souls (Echelon), Pride in Christ (A Shame), Unity of the USA under God (Indivisible), and much, much more.
Then you have Fireproof. This is a masterpiece that will stand the test of time! One can tell it talks about the story of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednigo (sp?) where God saved them from Nebuchadnezzar's blazing furnace.... paralleling with our salvation in Christ from anything this life (or our afterlife without Christ) could throw at us.....
If you like rock music, please check out this record! You'll be so glad you did!
Great CD ( ) by Christi in California
Pillars CD Fireproof was an awesome CD, But I have to say that Where Do We Go From Here tops it. There was a mixes of so many different styles.
Rewind made me cry and Let it Out got my bottled up emotions out. It's realy inspiring and I just love the lyrics.
Where Do We Go From Here ( ) by Matthew in USA
I found this a great cd. With its hard-rock music and solid lyrics, this is a cd that I think any lover of rock would want to add to their collection. Pillar sold 19000 copies in the first week of this cd. If you like bands such as Linkin Park, or P.O.D., Pillar is a great band for you. With song lyrics that really do pertain to some real-life things that I could actually relate to, I can't stop listening to this cd. Even though somebody might not like rock, if you show them the lyrics to Pillar, they would probably most likely agree that they are Christ-based. I hope you have found this review useful.

This is a great cd which you need to buy!
Better than Fireproof ( ) by in McConnells, SC
As much as I loved Fireproof, Where Do We Go From Here has definitly topped it. The songs have so much more meaning and are sung from the heart. Rewind is something most Christians can relate to. And Frontline makes you want to be more active in the everyday battles of getting God's work done. But there isn't a single song on the CD that I don't love.

Pillar is the First Christian Rock Group I ever got into. Their sound is like none other, and their new CD Where Do We Go From Here Is amazing. After Fire Proof I wasn't sure if Pillar could get better, but they did. The only thing bad you can say about this CD is that there are only 11 songs.
As a quote from me. "This is the best Cd ever."

WOW ( ) by Phillip in San Antonio
While I don't usually go looking for hard rock cds I had heard that this was a great disk. To my delight, it was better than great, it was AWSOME!!! Pillar has come on the scene and brought a great hard rock sound with great guitar, and added lyrics that you can not only understand, but you can also track them back to the Bible and the message that they are trying to get across. This is definatly one of, if not the best hard rock album that has come out in a very long time.
