This is one of the best albums I've ever purchased. Their first album was good, but this one is amazing! It's hard to pick a favorite song off of this. The music is great Sanctus Real-rock combined with many other flavors not typical to ordinary rock music. What gets me on this one are the lyrics. Sanctus Real follows up their first album with an album full of wonderful, inspiring, and worshipful lyrics. A must-have for any Christian rock fan.

I like this album alot. It is great cruising music with simple yet powerful lyrics about who God is and what He has done. My favorite songs are tracks 1, 2, 3, 4 (Awesome!) and 7. My one complaint is that two or three of the songs sound exactly like a song from another artist. For example, the track "Deeds" has a very familar Relient K sound. Overall, this is a great album and I would reccomend it to everyone, especially if you are a fan of 80's Rock!

"Fight the Tide" is such an improvement from "Say it Loud". SIL was great for a debut album, but the guys from Sanctus Real have done an even better job on "Fight the Tide". I can relate to the topics in almost every single song. This CD is more rock and roll than their first, and it sounds more polished, too. This is definitely one of my favorites for this year!

I just got this album, but I'll be honest; I didn't like it as much as their first album, when I heard it initially. But for me, this was one CD that definitely grew on me! The lyrics are awesome and they make you think. The guitar parts are awesome, and the melodies are catchy and addictive, especially in "Everything About You!" I won't say that this is a must have, but it is definitely becoming a favorite of mine!

This cd is so great! Sanctus Real is a really great Christian band. They have awesome lyrics and the guitar rocks! If you are looking for a good rock album, this is it.

Over and over I find myself listening to this CD ... don't me wrong, it's not a bad thing. This album is one of the best, I highly recommend this album! With their intelligent lyrics, to sophisticated yet fun music, this album is totally worth it's price 100 percent.

WOW! Sanctus Real, out of Toledo, OH, came on to the Rock scene a couple years ago and became a huge success (with a huge following) seemingly overnight, with constant touring, awesome live shows and an impressive debut album, "Say It Loud".
Now, summer 2004, Sanctus Real has released their much awaited 2nd album, called "Fight the Tide". Has SR suffered the much dreaded "sophomore slump??"
HARDLY!!The Boys' from SR have put together one heck of a Christian masterpiece here.
Fueled by awesome sounding guitar tunes, inspiring lyrics and the unique rock edge that is, simply put, SANCTUS REAL, this album is a must have for any Rock Fan.
The opening track, Everything about You, simply states the band's adoration for their Lord Jesus Christ. Followed by the interesting and catchy tune, issues, which pleads forgiveness.
"I don't really wanna cry over issues,
wet tissues, stick to my shoes.
we can't take back the words we've spoken, but i'm hopin' you'll forgive me".
My favorite song on the album is Alone, a simple but powerful message about the love god has for us, we have for God (or should have), and even love between a couple.
"Rainy Mondays, feel like Fridays,
when you're smiling, at me, I can feel
the space between us, collapsing,
our love is everlasting".
Each song on "Tide" has it's own unique message and personality that's worth a listen to. Reviewers advice" Tracks 5,7 & 9.
This is rock and roll. Powerful, vibrant, outstanding, the way SR only knows how and the way only SR knows how.
