Taking R&B To A Whole New Level ( ) by Jennifer in Michigan, USA
Since "Genuine" (2000), Orrico has brought sparks of bubblegum pop and a hint of urban to the Christian market. Now with one of her newest titles, Stacie takes pop/r&b to a whole new level with her self-titled album that released March 25, 2003. Meant to be called "Say It Again", but cancelled at the last minute (with "More to Life", "Instead", "Stuck", and "I Promise" not being the record), Stacie re-released the album, and we got her self-titled work.
From the hip-hop hit "Stuck", to the slow and forgiving music of "That's What Love's About", you'll notice Stacie's got a lot to say. She's definitely a look into. Why do you think that every country in the world voted her #1?
An Album Written With God In Mind ( ) by Jennifer in Michigan, USA
Stacie Orrico has definitely got spunk. She goes out to the world, only being 14, and showing what she's made of. Seriously, this girl gets down and honest. On "Don't Look At Me", she speaks out to those who idolize her - "Don't look at me/if you're looking for perfection/don't look at me/I will only let you down". "Genuine" speaks of being real in an artificial world. "Confident" speaks of God being her confidence. And when her friend had anorexia, she wrote "Dear Friend" - speaking in a language that would make even the strongest person feel her pain for her friend.
I could list all of the great songs that speak in this cd - but why don't you see for yourself. It's definitely an album you'll want on your CD rack.
WOW!!! ( ) by in Brooklyn, NY
I've loved Stacie Orrico since her debut, Genuine, but when I heard her self-titled album for the first time I was even more amazed and intrigued by her music. Although Stuck and More To Life are awesome mainstream hits, the songs on the album in which this maturing singer gives an outstanding performance are Strong Enough and I Could Be The One. With catchy pop tunes, powerful ballads, and even a little flavor of R&B this album is not only a great listen, but an example of honest songwriting, on the part of Stacie, at its best.
Not Bad For First DVD... ( ) by Jennifer in Michigan, USA
Packed with two music videos ("Stuck", and "More to Life"), a special behind-the-scenes look at the making of the "More to Life" music video (and a couple little things Stacie says that you probably didn't know about her before!), and two remixes; one for "Stuck" and one for "More to Life". This DVD single is not bad for being Stacie's first DVD special - but its use is probably only a "view once" for every couple months or so. I would recommend it though - for the price of the money spent, it's worth it.
what a voice! ( ) by Anonymous in New York
Boy can this girl sing! Her voice, wich is uniquely hers, is amazing! Her beautiful voice and her amazing lyrics make this cd one of my favorites. Her lyrics are pure emotion put into poetry. I am looking forward to what she will bring us next!
Stacie ( ) by Kristin in USA
Stacie Orrico's self-titled album shows her growth as an artist and a person. The 12 track CD was mostly written/co-written by Stacie. Included on the CD are the hit singles "Stuck", "(there's gotta be) More to Life", "I Promise", "Security", "Strong Enough" and many more. Stacie shows her passion for singing and God through this album. Because of Stacie's amazing talents you'll love this CD and want to listen to it again and again.
Christmas with a Twist ( ) by Kristin in USA
Stacie's 6 song EP is a different take on classic songs, plus a few others. This album will definitely be a Christmas favorite- Stacie's voice is amazing and the songs are catchy and still share the meaning of Christmas. This is a Christmas must-have!
Good, but could ( ) by Kristin in USA
For Stacie's first DVD single, this was great! I was excited about it! The videos were great, as is the behind the scenes of MTL. The only set back is that there isn't much on it. You could see all of the DVD in less than an hour... probably a little more than half an hour. I think it's worth it...
Stacie Orrico ( ) by in USA
Now this is an album well worth the money. Yes, Stacie Orrico has appeared on MTV, American Dreams, blah, blah, blah, but since Genuine her faith has only increased and she's out to show it to the whole world. Stacie shows a true passion for Christ and the want to lead people to God through this new CD. She demonstrates the necesssary qualities of a Christian and put herself in the shoes of others quite a bit. This pop artist is sure to capture your intest with her latest self title release.
Stacie Orrico - Genuine ( ) by in USA
Want more Stacie? Well, be sure not to pass this CD up. Though it's slightly outdated, it's a must have. At only 14, Stacie bursts out into the world and shares her faith in Christ. She also sings about the many mixed emotions of being a teenager. Pop artist Stacie Orrico will definitely capture the spirit of Christianity and give you inspiration for the ride.
